For those who wonder what a one-hour private online lesson might look like, we have asked our Mandarin Chinese tutor, Chang, to summarise a typical class with her Higher Mandarin student. They work together twice a week for one hour and focus on preparing the student for her SQA Higher Mandarin exams later this year.
Mandarin is a difficult subject, but a native speaker and experienced tutor who knows the curriculum from her work in an Edinburgh school can make a huge difference to learning.
