In order to learn German for National 5 in Scotland, you will need to work with an experienced tutor who knows the Scottish curriculum. We offer help with school German and will improve your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills. Additionally, our tutor will teach you the grammar and vocabulary in areas in which you show gaps or lack of confidence.
Exam revision in German can be booked at a short notice or taken regularly over a longer period of time, depending on your needs.
In the Scottish system, Secondary 4 exams, i.e. Nat5s, require a good knowledge of level A1 in German (based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). We can give your child the support they need.
In an average 1-hour lesson at this level, you can expect to:
You read three articles around 200 words each on different topics in German and answer a series of questions in English based on the texts.
You read a short job ad in German and write an email to the employer. Your email should be between 120-150 words.
