Quick facts:

UCAT is the University Clinical Aptitude Test. It is a compulsory entry requirement for applicants to the Medical Schools across the UK.

Approximately 37,000 students take the UCAT test every year. The number is steadily growing.

Universities often have a required minimum UCAT score for entry to Medicine. For the University of Edinburgh, the cut-off score for entry in 25/6 has been set to 2450 with Bands 1, 2 and 3 in the Situation Judgement Test (Band 4 was not accepted). Medicine at Cambridge requests a UCAT Test from 2024/5, replacing the BMAT.
